An Opportunity to Direct a Music Video

In 2021, singer/songwriter Louie Bello asked Joe to write and direct the music video for his hit song “Jesus”. It was Joe's first music video and he was blessed to have Director of Photography, Cisco Santiago behind the camera, bringing his vision to life. The video was later chosen by the 2021 Peachtree Village International Film Festival as an official festival selection.

A Boston Neighborhood Turns 150 Years Old

When the sponsors originally met about the branding for the year of events for Boston neighborhood Hyde Park turning 150, they wanted to create a logomark that was unique and memorable. Joe decided that a monogram of HP and 150 would serve that purpose. The overall brand is known as HP150 so it was important that we represented that around the city for brand recognition. Here, Boston mayor Marty Walsh shows off Joe's design.

In 2019, Joe shot Michael Franti at the Levitate Festival and turned it into a limited edition 1 of 1 print. When Franti was back in town, Joe met up him at the House of Blue’s in Boston to add their signatures to the print. Joe then prepared an Instagram giveaway contest that lasted 30 days and On December 5th, 2019, he randomly announced the winner on IG Live.

Through a collaboration with chefs Ming Tsai, Ken Oringer, and hospitality legend Travis Talbot, Joe was invited as one of the designers of “Boston Bites Back”, a one-day event at Fenway Park that raised $1 million for The One Fund Boston to help victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. In 1999, when Joe was a senior at Bridgewater State College, he wanted to combine two passions. Hip-Hop and helping people in need. He organized a hip-hop show at the college that raised awareness and collected donations for a large local homeless shelter. The event earned Joe the College's 1999-2000 Community Service Event of the Year Award.

Joe Was Commissioned to Design a Permanent Installation in the Lobby of Harvard’s Kennedy School

The most iconic university in the world

In 2013, Harvard University reached out to Joe and asked him to redesign the lobby of the Harvard Kennedy School's Middle East Initiative. Joe designed an intricate Islamic geometric pattern, common in Middle Eastern interior design. The structure was cut out of maple and 3D mounted over the background that he designed on the physical lobby wall itself.

Singer/Songwriter Louie Bello, who Joe has worked with on numerous projects wanted to find the perfect locations for his new video directed by Russ Mezikofsky and shot by Cisco Santiago. Joe converted his design studio into a police department office where Gordie Gronkowski and retired New England Patriot Patrick Chung were 2 of the officers. MMA fighter John "Doomsday" Howard played on of the bad guys in this mini film story about a diamond heist. The video went on to be nominated for "Music Video of the Year" at the New England Music Awards.
